Payment is made on the pages of a specialised payment provider, to which you are redirected. No bank details are entered on, pass through or are stored on this website: our pages contain no component from this provider.
- What we send to it
- The reference of the plan subscribed to, the identifier of your future space, and your email address if you have already given it to us. It also uses your email address to send you, on our behalf, the messages relating to your subscription: a reminder before the end of the trial, upcoming due dates, the expiry of your card and the failure of a payment. It also hosts your billing portal: you log in to it through a link that it sends to your email address, and there you can view your invoices, change your payment method and your billing details and cancel your subscription. Your cancellation is reported to us, as described below; the other changes you make there stay with it, and our website neither reads nor keeps any of them.
- What it asks you for directly
- Your payment method and your billing address, which it collects in its own environment at our request, in order to issue the invoice for your subscription in your name. This information is not communicated to us.
- What it sends back to us
- Your email address and the name on your file, once the payment is confirmed. Then, when you request the cancellation of your subscription, when you withdraw that request and when the subscription ends: the status of your subscription, the date on which it ends, the cause of that end as it records it (your request, a failed payment or a payment dispute) and, if you chose one, the reason for your cancellation. This information is not recorded in any database: it is passed on to the internal messaging system where the publisher keeps track of subscriptions, so that it can organise the end of your access and offer you the return or deletion of your data.
- Outside the European Union
- Our payment provider is Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland). It belongs to an international group and may transfer data outside the European Union, in particular to the United States, with the safeguards provided for by the General Data Protection Regulation (standard contractual clauses or adequacy decision), under the conditions described in its own privacy policy.
- On what legal basis
- Because this processing is necessary for the performance of the contract and, as regards invoicing, for compliance with our accounting and tax obligations. The reason for cancellation, which you are free not to give, is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding why a customer leaves us.
- For how long
- Invoices and accounting records are kept for ten years, in accordance with our accounting obligations, by our payment provider and in our accounting. Other data follow the periods stated in the section “When you become a customer”.
